Black Metal aus dem hohen Norden von Deutschland steht mit dem Debüt-Album «Un torügg bleev blot Sand» von Friisk auf meiner Menü-Karte.
Stürmischer Wind in Kombination mit einer akustischen Gitarre machen den Anfang von «Einklang». Auch elektrische Gitarren und Drums gesellen sich langsam zu dieser fröhlichen Runde dazu. Einzig der Sänger gewährt sich noch eine Pause, was mit «Dem Wind entgegen» aber sehr schnell ändert. Gehässiger Black Metal, der wie ein Schnellzug vorbei rauscht, wird mit ausgezeichneter Präzision geboten. Dieser Song bietet, als Überraschung, in der Hälfte auch noch einen besinnlichen Part. «Hoat» setzt auf Atmosphäre anstelle von purer Geschwindigkeit. Erstaunlich, was für geile Melodien aus dem Hut gezaubert werden. Ein mystisches Zwischenspiel stellt «Versunken» dar und wäre auch als Schluss passend gewesen. Trommelwirbel zwirbeln einem allen Ohrenschmalz bei «Mauern aus Nebel» gründlich raus, und mit einer Lastwagenladung Atmosphäre wird für negative Stimmung gesorgt. Irgendwann brennt der Gaul mit aber Friisk durch und Highspeed ist angesagt. Ein Sturm zieht mit «Torügg bleev blot Sand» auf, und die See wird um einiges rauer. Den Spürsinn für geniale Melodien haben Friisk auch in diesem Song auf Lager. Das Gekrächze von Krähen lässt schon mal nichts Gutes erahnen, und so wird erst einmal mit Mystik aufgetrumpft. Die bedrohliche Stimmung zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch diesen langsamen Song. Im Dschungel von genialen Black Metal Alben können sich Friisk mit diesem Hammer-Album bestens behaupten!
